Chef Luis Perez is no stranger to the restaurant game. As a child, he loved his mother’s Mexican food and throughout the years became a master himself. As an adult, he was chosen to work with a Chicago chef legend, Jack Jones. Chef Perez worked with Jones in three restaurants spanning over 10 years. While working with Jones, Chef Perez also mastered fine French cuisine and in time had a dream to fuse Mexican and French together. And in 2004, he opened Dorado’s.
The entire menu at Dorado’s comes from the genius of Chef Perez himself. One may not believe Mexican and French would work together, but his equal expertise in each cuisine allowed him to turn his dreams into reality. The desserts are just as impressive as the appetizers and entrees, and Chef Perez has left no stone unturned to create a perfect dining experience.
